We believe that Kingston would be an amazing city to live in. Kingston has a beautiful view of Lake Ontario, as well as many fun filled events throughout the year to keep us entertained, such as The Beat Beethoven (in which you run through downtown Kingston trying to finish the race before the Kingston Symphony has finished playing 50 minutes of Beethoven's music) and Kingston Sheep Dog Trials (in which a herder tries to get sheep into a fenced area as fast as they can). Kingston also has a nice temperature range of 28 degrees Celsius with minimal rainfall that won't ruin our day! There are also many jobs available in the education sector, a possible career option. Another option is going there to attend Queen's University, a highly esteemed educational institution. Additionally, the unemployment rate is at a fairly low rate of 6.37%. All of these factors sound wonderful, but Kingston does have its downsides. The biggest downside is its population. This can be taken as a positive or negative reason to live there but we would prefer to live in a place where there is a strong multicultural and diverse community. There is also a near stagnant net population growth rate, meaning the population will most likely not boom anytime in the near future.
